Java Games Client for Kojin, The Soul of Samurai
Java Game's Client
You have a few options to connect to Kojin. The Java games client is perhaps the most preferable for a novice; it will provide you with the necessary interface to smoothly traverse into the thick atmosphere of this complex and subtle game. Remember, the Java games client is there to aid you in this transition from one reality to that of Kojin, but it is not manditory to use the Java games client if you are a novice to text-based games.
Unfortunately, the Java games client has not been fully configured and was producing errors. Its link here has been temporarily removed.
Telnet clients
For those who do not have the ability to use the Java games client provided, or do not have any other means with which to connect to the game, using the telnet program of most operating systems should be sufficient to at least temporarily connect to Kojin -- though it is not uncommon for telnet to be used regularly by the veteran player. The following link should automatically open a telnet connection to Kojin, much like the Java games client.
Telnet to kojin-rpg.com, port 23. If there is a problem, it is advisable to download one of the MUD Clients below.
MUD clients
For those who wish to play more regularly, there is the option to connect to Kojin through the many MUD clients, such as zMUD, Rapscallion and TinyFugue. These programs are often complex and daunting for a newcomer of online roleplaying games, and so it is advisable to use the Java games client or Telnet instead if you are not yet comfortable with the text-only aspect. Nevertheless, we have created a list of the highest quality MUD clients available on the internet.
