Famous Samurai and History

Famous Samurai

The importance of a samurai is in his courage and fealty to his leige lord. However, some have become famous enough that they overshadowed their lords or even rose to become one themselves. The famed Tokugawa became a famous samurai from humble beginnings. The fame of a samurai is in battle, as was with Tokugawa, and sometimes in swordsmanship, such as Miyamoto Musashi.

The following is a list of all the samurai who have stood above the rest in Kojin, The Soul of Samurai, whether by their sword or their mind, or both.

Sasaki Kojiro
Age: 19
("Fifth Son of Sasaki")
Dubbed the finest swordsman of the realm, he is the creator of the game. He birthed the idea of Kojin, The Soul of Samurai, from, initially, his intense interest in Kurosawa and the Samurai Trilogy.
Hashi Kiyoshida
Age: 22
("Silent Rice Paddy by the Bridge")
Second only to Sasaki, he has ruled as a warlord for many years, gathering prestige and wealth from all corners of Nippon. A handful of skirmishes with Sasaki Kojiro taught him the humility which now makes him one of the most powerful in the land.
